The Rev. Dr. Dawn Enderwood will serve Salem, starting March 1, 2023. She retired from Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Edmond in 2019 after serving there for 18 years. Since then, she has served as interim vicar of St. John’s Episcopal Church in OKC and interim rector of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Norman. She grew up on a Kansas ranch, attended the University of Kansas (BS) and Wichita State (MS), and taught at Wichita State University, Friends University, and Concordia University. She attended seminary at the Lutheran Seminary Program in the Southwest in conjunction with the Episcopal Seminary in the Southwest. After moving to Edmond, she completed the Doctor of Ministry from Phillips Theological Seminary and a specialization in interim ministry from Luther Seminary.
Her volunteer activities include Oaks Indian Mission (former member of the board), the Dialogue Institute Advisory Board, A-OK Leadership Team, LGBTQIA+ spiritual advisor, and Daughters of the King spiritual advisor (St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church, OKC). In June she will complete presenter training for Centering Prayer with Contemplative Outreach of Connecticut.
